Meet the founders behind Jenora. Jenora grew out of years spent in mental health and addiction treatment — and the patterns we kept seeing in the space between sessions.

The Therapist's Perspective

Built from clinical experience, designed for the moments between sessions.

The Therapist's Perspective

Why Jenora Exists

Jenora is co-founded by Tony, a Certified Professional Addiction Therapist with 15 years of clinical experience across community mental health services and residential therapeutic communities, and Dora, a therapist with experience in residential therapeutic communities and private schools, supporting clients with mental health and addiction challenges.

Together, we saw the same challenge repeatedly: people could make real progress in treatment, yet struggle to maintain that progress in daily life.

They left with insight, commitment, and practical tools. But once they returned to work, relationships, stress, and responsibility, it became harder to stay consistent. The problem was rarely a lack of effort. More often, progress was lost in small, barely noticeable moments of drift that gradually pulled life out of alignment.

Jenora was created to help people catch that drift earlier.

It is a professional-grade life alignment platform built for the reality of everyday life - designed to help people stay connected to their values, recognize patterns sooner, and translate insight into meaningful action.

The Vision Behind Jenora

We believe technology should do more than track what happened. It should help people understand where they are, what matters most, and what to do next.

That belief comes from two directions at once. Tony's clinical work in addiction and mental health treatment shapes what Jenora pays attention to - and his background in engineering, including a degree in mechatronics, shapes how it's built: as a structured system with interconnected parts, not a loose collection of features.

Jenora combines clinically grounded principles with thoughtful biometric integration to create a calm, intelligent layer of support in daily life. It helps users engage in values-based actions, spot emerging patterns, and make small course corrections before disconnection becomes setback.

Because lasting change is not built in one breakthrough moment. It is built in everyday moments of awareness, alignment, and follow-through.

The Clinical Foundation

Built on established frameworks, not invented ones.

Jenora doesn't ask you to learn a new system. It brings together approaches with a long track record in mental health and recovery, and organizes them into one connected experience.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Jenora's daily check-ins and reflection prompts draw on CBT's core idea: noticing the connections between thoughts, feelings, and actions makes it easier to respond with intention instead of reacting on autopilot.

Values-based planning

Rather than tracking habits in isolation, Jenora helps you build a plan anchored to what matters most to you. Daily choices are connected back to a larger sense of direction, not just a checklist.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Developed by Steven Hayes, Kirk Strosahl, and Kelly Wilson, ACT distinguishes values you move toward from goals you complete, and emphasizes willingness — making room for difficult thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them. Jenora's values-based planning and Distress Lab both draw on this tradition.

WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan)

Developed by Mary Ellen Copeland, WRAP introduced structured personal planning for recovery — naming wellness tools, early warning signs, and crisis plans. Jenora's Three Zones framework builds on this foundation.

The Three Circles model

Widely used in addiction recovery, the Three Circles model sorts behaviors into supportive, cautionary, and bottom-line categories. Jenora adapts this into its Green, Yellow, and Red Zone system.
